Last night I went to an art exhibition, and one particular art piece caught my attention called “The Little Yellow Nude”.
I’ve forgotten who the artist was and I will post this when I find out.
I wrote the poem because I recall thinking that the woman was well dressed because every strand of her hair was in place, which pronounced the confidence of her stance as she sat. of course photography wasn’t allowed and I couldn’t find the piece on the internet to show you but perhaps you might get the picture through the poem I wrote about this experience.
She’s well dressed
With every strand of her hair
In place
Free your mind
And think
What is it that you want
To see
The moment
In place
The little yellow nude

Poetry for me is a way that helps my soul “speak”. Often I find myself writing certain things that I could never imagine saying or repeating after I’ve written them. They are one offs and lay deeper than my heart… like another person is writing. I know this is very spiritual but I feel it must be so.
