Again I had a tiring week and my head was filled with a lot of stuff that I couldn’t escape from. In my attempt to free myself I stayed in bed and rested a lot. I had imagery of where I wanted to be but I couldn’t enter. My husband spoke to me and I told him of an idea I had for a poem. “It is about the image of a woman walking along the beach with free-flowing skirt, and dress that moves like the shape of the waves,” I said. He said, “Let’s write it together”. And this thought gave me strength to write my poem.
Now I feel rested. I hope you enjoy.

Beautiful poem! Recollection of how this poem came to fruition reminds me of one of mine, Barefoot in the Sand. I was in the office of my former boss when a picture captured my eye that she had just displayed: Three young girls in frilly dresses wading in the surf as sea spray engulfed their very being.

“Sea spray engulfed their very being,” encompasses the poem, I think. I read your poem and it is very descriptive and beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Pictures trigger emotions, a time and place and it is fulfilling to be able to capture this through a poem.
